Chadwick Boseman, a real king and hero.

This week's blog wasn't meant to be about this, we had other ideas in mind. But what we found out the other night left us really sad, so today we are going to write about Chadwick and his amazing life. If you still don't know what happened, read till the end.

He was called Chadwick Aaron Boseman and was born on November 29, 1976, in Anderson, South Carolina, United States. His parents were Carolyn Boseman (his mom) and Leroy Boseman (his dad). He graduated from Howard University, with a degree in film directing. He also graduated from the British American Drama Academy in Oxford. He was a drama instructor in the "Schomburg Junior" Fellows Program, located at the Schomburg Center for Research on Black Culture in Harlem, New York. He moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career in 2008.

Now that you know a bit about how he got started in the acting world, we are going to tell you how and who he was, by telling you some things he did.

In 2016 when he was chose to be "Black Panther" or "King T´Chala" was one of the most important times on his life. He was absolutely happy about it, and, we can tell, no one could have been a better Black Panther. Since that he became an icon to everyone, but especially for black people. After the movie, with Jimmy Fallon on an edition of  "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" someone told some fans of Black Panther, who were really inspired by him, to imagine they were talking to Chadwick. While they talked Chadwick and Jimmy were behind a curtain hearing them and when they finished Chadwick appeared and hug them.

He used to visit kids in hospital and spent time with them, gave the gifts and play. In one opportunity he met two children who were absolutely excited about Black Panther. They both had cancer and passed away before the movie was released. He told this story with his face full of tears. We didn't know it yet, but at that time he already had colon cancer.

He decided to start a campaign to donate 1 million dollars for children in Africa, due to this hard time during this pandemic. To talk a bit about it he went on an instagram live. Most people who joined the live were only making fun of him because of his appearance. What they didn't know was the battle he was fighting against cancer.

Last friday (August 28), someone posted from his Twitter and Instagram account the following image with this text:

To finally end with this blog, we want to say some things. The first one is that we are sorry that this post came a day late. The other ones are: here we just mentioned really few of the amazing things this man did, but he was basically an incredible human being and we have no words enough to describe how bad we feel about this. Our whole prayers are with his family, friends and beloved ones. We are glad that he had an amazing life and spent his last moments with his family. It is truly a pleasure to have been a fan of him during his life and now the best we can do is to remember him as the awesome person he was. Remember how strong he was, fighting with a terrible colon cancer during 4 whole years, while still being happy, enjoying life, and doing what he loved the most, acting. And as a selfless person, always helping others. And we can try to be a little bit more like him. Rest in peace Chadwick. And also, rest in power, king.
